I met Wayra in Montanita, Ecuador, on new years eve at around four in the afternoon. Little did I know that our unplanned night together would turn out to be one of the most amazing experiences of my adventure. Studying pshycology, she tested my theories and ideas of life to the edge, creating a constant flow of amazing, thought provocative conversation. The two days we spent together seemed...

Skin head for life

A cafe with character. Casa Hood, my home away from home in Banos, Ecuador. With an amazing array of books to swap and buy, great coffee and an amazing waitress named Sarah, my rainy afternoons couldn´t of been spent better.

I met Fredericko on new years day. He was staying with my new friend Wayra at a hostel in Montanita. Fredericko can be classed as many things; thug, skin head sharp, latino, student, immigrant and above all an amazing person. He opened my eyes to the real world surrounding Bogata´s innermost dealings with the skin head life. A life of crime and justice for what we all know as the common skin head....

My photography has taken a turn for the worst in the last couple of weeks with the malfunctioning of now both my Nikon fm2 and my Contax T3. The Contax is completely out of order, rendering my night time photography obsolete, and with my most recent find today, the Nikon has a nice little light leak flaying the edges of my photos. However, as you can see with the scan job of the above photo, the...

The first time I touched snow was on the Chilean/ Argentinian border. A trip I was completely unprepared for. Sun in Mendoza turned into snow in Chile.

I spent eight nights in Valparaiso. My fondest span of time in Chile. I was with six good friends in a hostel that was solely occuipied by us. We had breakfast served to us every morning at the hour of our choice and could party till seven in the morning with no complaints. The food and culture in Valpo was incredible, coupled by beautiful women and copious amounts of rum.

Katy is a fucking rockstar. She recently had her bag stolen in Lima with her passport, money and many things dear to her. My heart go´s out for all the pain this has and will cause her. I don´t think people understand the pain and time that comes from losing a passport overseas. The red tape is ridiculous, and sometimes it can take up to a month and a half to recieve it from your home country. Not...

This is the biggest dog I have ever seen. You can see the scale of size from the car in the background. He wasn´t a fan of me.

Santiago. Such a gloomy place. You can just make out the Andes in the background. After a rainy night, the fog, dust and polution rises and a beautiful backdrop is on show. In all honesty, I really didn´t like Santiago. It was too big, too ugly and had no character. A three hour drive to the coast will get you to Valparaiso. Rolling hills of shanty housing coupled with amazing artwork makes this...

This man stands at this elevator everyday. Taking people up and down, up and down. He didn´t want anything for his services, he really just wanted to be with his elevator.

A mutual appreciation for the creation of an image, with a student riot thrown in the works. Police still need to show their side of the story.

Ha, met these three Indian blokes on the bus from Buenos Aires to Mendoza. They work for a communications company from 6pm at night till 6am in the morning five days a week. They were having a boys weekend away comprising of horse riding, river rafting and nature walking. They were so stoked to be out of BA for the weekend. For some reason this photo really makes me laugh.

Caught this on the way our of a parilla, five hours of beef and red wine in Buenos Aires famous La Boca District. I now wish I spent a few more days in this city. Nothing could of prepared me for how overwhelming my first experience of South America could be. Supposably this is one of the dirtiest parts of any harbour in the world. Definately doesn´t look the part.

This is now my fourth day out of a nine month south american experience. Currently in Buenos Aires, staying in a four story hostel in the heart of San Telmo. Life is good. I´v been making the most of Argentinian cuisine by eating as much as my stomach can handle. Taking experience from Mr Timothy Forster´s love of traditional, local food, i´v been exploring the smallest, dirtiest establishments in...

I spent a solid week with Grims mid year. In each others pockets day in and out. One of the most inspiring people I know. He introduced me to concepts and ideas that only left me to ponder what else this dude has to offer. I won’t catch him for at least another year, as our paths won’t cross. He’s already given me enough to keep me on my way. Watch out for Thomas Robinson,...

Strath imagines scenarios like no other. A man of endless possibilities; he wondered how going for a long bike ride, wearing a full three piece suit would feel. He stopped over for some afternoon tea to tell me all about it. Strath puts action to thought, resulting in amazing experiences and stories to tell.

I went and saw Odd Future a few weeks back. Couldn’t believe the stage presence that Tyler had; such a confident and powerful dude. Hours of pain got me these pictures. I don’t think I will see a show as engaging as this for a long time. I enjoy these photos as much as I enjoyed the show. I hope you do too.
