My photography has taken a turn for the worst in the last couple of weeks with the malfunctioning of now both my Nikon fm2 and my Contax T3. The Contax is completely out of order, rendering my night time photography obsolete, and with my most recent find today, the Nikon has a nice little light leak flaying the edges of my photos. However, as you can see with the scan job of the above photo, the photographic studio that I brought the roll of film to, didn´t do the best of jobs. Im currently in the process of getting the above roll rescanned to really get down to the problem. In light of this, im currently in Popayan, Columbia, Having the time of my life. Four and a half months down of a seven month trip, I couldn´t be a happier person. In the next three months I will have traversed the whole west coast of South America, with forty rolls of film shot, I can only be blown away with what I have achieved.
The young, two year old boy above was hitching a ride with us down an Ecuadorian amazonian river. Four days in the jungle really makes you appreciate what luxuries one has in the normal running of life. Nearly six days without a proper shower or bed, Warrick, Jules and myself were more than happy to get back to civilization and enjoy a nice cold cerveza. Salut! If however the new scanning job comes back more positive than the last, I will be happily switching the photos.
